Brewers will have tough time keeping Daniel Norris in Milwaukee

Norris was acquired at the trade deadline from the Detroit Tigers, and he’s struggled at times with the Brew Crew. So far, Norris has only pitched to a 6.52 ERA — that’s not remotely what was expected of him out of the bullpen.

If the Brewers fall short in the playoffs, and Norris continues to pitch at a sub-par clip, expect him to be a scapegoat of sorts for an otherwise impressive bullpen. With Devin Williams and Josh Hader on the back end, Norris’ job isn’t all that stressful right now. He’s forfeiting big money with his struggles.

Brewers likely to let Eduardo Escobar walk

Escobar has been a nice addition from the lowly Arizona Diamondbacks, as he’s hit for a .280 average and limited power so far. In Arizona, he had 22 home runs on a struggling D’Backs team that desperately wanted to ship him out for prospects.

Escobar is a free agent after this season and given the buzz around his name near the MLB Trade Deadline, expect him to cash in if he can.
