3. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles dumped Carson Wentz in favor of Jalen Hurts this offseason, but that doesn’t mean Philadelphia is committed to him over the long haul. Drafting a new Oklahoma signal-caller could equal brighter days for Eagles fans.

In many ways, Rattler profiles as a better version of Hurts. They play the quarterback position in a similar fashion, but Rattler just throws the ball better than the former Sooners star. Hurts is the better runner, but that’s not going to help him keep hold of the starting position if his throwing does not improve.

Like the Falcons, the Eagles might also have slightly too much roster talent to “earn” a top 3 pick. Philadelphia might be forced to tank down the stretch if they want to beat the competition to Rattler.

The one certainty for the Eagles is that they need to chart a firm direction at quarterback after the conclusion of the 2021 campaign. They’d love to see Hurts emerge as that guy, but if he falters, Rattler will quickly become a priority for the franchise.
