1. Houston Texans

Deshaun Watson may still be a member of the Houston Texans organization at the moment, but the odds are stacked against him taking another snap for his current team. That leaves the position in the incapable hands of either Tyrod Taylor or Davis Mills this season.

Neither signal-caller is going to stop the Texans from spending a top pick on a new quarterback in next year’s draft. Unlike many teams on this list, Houston does profile as a team easily capable of finishing with the league’s worst record. Having the No. 1 overall pick would give the Texans the chance to grab the player of their choice to kick start their rebuild.

Rattler may never become the superstar that Watson was on the field in Houston, but he would be a great building block for their new offense. Perhaps more importantly, he’d also give the Texans the sort of new franchise face they desperately crave.

Next. 3 teams that should sign Cam Newton. dark

Add it all up and Texans fans should spend a lot of time watching Oklahoma games this fall. Rattler could easily find himself heading south to Texas next year. Houston fans will have to endure a painful regular season to turn that dream into reality, but it could be worth the effort for a franchise that desperately needs to chart a new future.
