Start

Gus Edwards, BAL, @ LV

The unfortunate injury of potential fantasy darling J.K. Dobbins has opened up an opportunity for Edwards to show the world what he can do as a starter. Edwards will be a stud in Week 1 against a brutal Las Vegas Raiders defense who hasn’t been able to stop much of anything over the past few seasons. Expect Edwards to score a touchdown or two while nearing 100 yards.

Chase Edmonds, ARI, @ TEN

The running back situation in Arizona carries a major question mark for those who have taken the likes of Edmonds and James Conner. We expect Edmonds to be the main man when it comes to high-scoring games which this is going to be against the Tennessee Titans. Expect Edmonds to near 20 touches come Sunday.

Miles Sanders, PHI, @ ATL

Sanders could be seen as one of the most talented running backs in the league if he could find himself some consistency when it comes to holding the ball. He should have the chance to show he is the best option on the team against Atlanta.

Sit

D’Andre Swift, DET, vs. SF

At the conclusion of the 2020 season, Swift felt to be an automatic breakout for this coming season after an excellent rookie season. Then Matthew Stafford was traded to the Los Angeles Rams, changing the future of the Detroit Lions moving forward. Add in the fact that the Lions signed Jamal Williams and you begin to understand why there is a worry here. It might be best to sit him on the bench until we know what his usage will be.

Myles Gaskin, MIA, @ NE

Gaskin got a vote of confidence Monday after being seen as a potential option in a committee backfield. If all were to go as fantasy owners wanted, he would be the guaranteed starter week after week following a great season. The New England Patriots improved their defense and until we have an idea of how snaps breakdown, he should stay on the bench.

Devin Singletary, BUF, vs. PIT

Singletary and Zack Moss will have an odd season this year with the Buffalo Bills airing it out far more than rushing. They could shock us but against the Steelers? Yeah, sit both of them down no matter what.
