Watch 58-year-old boxing legend Evander Holyfield workout ahead of his return to the ring against Vitor Belfort.
Evander Holyfield is looking to prove that 58 is the new 38 ahead of his short-notice boxing match against Vitor Belfort, filling in for the ill Oscar De La Hoya.
Holyfield has fought in the boxing ring since 2011 when he knocked out Brian Nielsen before calling it a career. Before that, he had defied the odds by earning the WBF heavyweight title over Francois Botha at 47 years old.
Holyfield is well-known for his back-to-back wins over Mike Tyson during the mid-1990s and is widely regarded as one of the best heavyweight boxers of all time. He earned an opportunity to fight once again on short notice after De La Hoya tested positive for COVID-19 just days ahead of the fight with Belfort.
Holyfield hosted an open workout ahead of the bout, and it appears in phenomenal athletic condition given his age. He looked absolutely jacked and showed off his trademark technical boxing in the ring in front of a crowd of media in attendance.

Holyfield has hinted at a possible return to the ring in recent years, especially after Tyson announced his own unretirement to face Roy Jones Jr. He’ll face a unique challenge in Belfort, a UFC legend who hasn’t competed in boxing since 2006. Belfort is roughly 15 years younger than Holyfield.
Boxing fans have wanted the heavyweight legend to return to the ring, and they’ll get what they asked for sooner than originally anticipated.
