4. Remind Matthew Stafford that he is always going to be a Detroit Lion to you

From a defensive perspective, the Bears need to constantly remind Matthew Stafford that just because he has a different uniform on does not mean he is not a member of the Detroit Lions in their eyes. Chicago has seen more than plenty of what Stafford brings to the table at the quarterback position. Therefore, this gives the strong Chicago defense a shot at the upset bid.

Despite being the No. 1 overall pick out of Georgia back in 2009, Stafford has yet to achieve a signature win in his NFL career. While he did lead the Lions to the playoffs three times, he went 0-3 in those three postseason games. Simply put, Stafford is an immense talent, but has a bad reputation of not being able to propel his team to victory when the opposition is one of quality.

So how do the Bears remind Stafford he will always be a Lion in their eyes? Blitz him all day and night, and make sure he does not get comfortable in the pocket for a second. Yes, he is a better quarterback over Jared Goff, but we have seen Stafford throw for a ton of empty yards in games the Lions already lost. Most importantly, do not let him have a shot at pulling off the comeback.

Few NFL teams will have the upper hand going against Stafford quite like the Bears will in 2021.
