The Denver Broncos take on the New York Giants to open their 2021 season.

The Denver Broncos will travel to MetLife and face the New York Giants in week 1 of the NFL season.

The story of the off season for the Broncos was the quarterback competition between Teddy Bridgewater and Drew Lock, with Bridgewater ultimately winning the battle. Bridgwater is rewarded with a young and promising receiving core. With Courtland Sutton returning from injury, Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler looking to make second year jumps and tight end Noah Fant entering his 3rd season, Bridgewater will look to make things happen.

If things go according to plan, the offense ultimately won’t be asked to do much, as the Vic Fangio led team will lean on their defense, led by a healthy Von Miller.

Their first test will be against a young New York Giants offense. All eyes will be on running back Saquon Barkley, who’s returning from an ACL injury, as everyone waits to see if he will take the field in Week 1. Barkley’s presence will be a huge benefit to quarterback Daniel Jones.

Jones, entering his third year,  looks to continue to keep developing and cementing himself as the future quarterback of this franchise.

The game will be one of the four, 4:25 p.m ET kickoff games this Sunday, as both franchises look to get answers about their young teams.
