It only took one week for the Pittsburgh Steelers to make Colin Cowherd eat his words, and fans are quick to remind him just how wrong he was.

The FOX Sports personality makes many takes, so it’s only natural that he’s wrong about a few.

Sure, it may be a little too quick to judge Cowherd for claiming that the Steelers run of excellence is over, especially given how last season ended. Yet, Pittsburgh started Week 1 with a statement win against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium.

Feels like it might’ve been a little early to dig their grave, ey?

Pittsburgh Steelers come away with huge road win against the Buffalo Bills

Claiming the Steelers fully “back” is also premature, despite what their fanbase might say. But a win in western New York against a team favored to make the AFC Championship Game has meaning, regardless of how it happened.

Ben Roethlisberger looked old at times. The run game was dead. The offensive line was putrid.

All of that was true for one half of football.

Yet, the defense kept the Steelers in the game, and once Pittsburgh was able to make some second-half adjustments and cash in on a short field provided by that defense, Buffalo didn’t have a response.

Oh, and the special teams helped as well.

Cowherd could end up right by the end of the season, sure. But conveniently forgetting the Steelers standard and the simple fact that this is a Mike Tomlin-coached team makes Cowherd an easy target.
