Melvin Gordon added 101 yards rushing, 70 of that on a fourth-quarter touchdown run. And Von Miller came up with a pair of sacks after missing all of 2020.
Deshaun Watson remains on the roster but veteran Tyrod Taylor got the start against the visiting Jaguars. It was David Culley’s debut as the Texans’ head coach and his team made it look pretty easy.
Veteran running back Mark Ingram ran 26 times for 85 yards and one score while Taylor threw for 291 yards and two scores. Houston played turnover-free football while their defense came up with three interceptions of Jaguars’ rookie Trevor Lawrence.
