. . . Will Levis. 7. player. 833

Kentucky quarterback Will Levis got everyone’s attention in the offseason when he ate a banana by just biting right through the peel. But lately, Levis has been drawing attention for less absurd reasons, like leading the Wildcats to two wins to start the year. Levis got off to a hot start, throwing for 367 yards against Louisiana-Monroe, but he struggled at times against Mizzou, only managing to throw for 179 yards while completing a meager 55.6 percent of his passes. He threw a touchdown and ran for another, but he also threw a pick in Kentucky’s win over the Tigers.

. . . Max Johnson. 6. player. 817

LSU quarterback Max Johnson has thrown a few touchdowns so far this year, six to be more precise. Johnson is a dangerous passer and can help lead LSU’s offense, but he might need some help if the Tigers are going to compete against quality SEC teams. He thrived against UCLA, but the Bruins beat the Tigers a week ago. Johnson can’t do it all on his own, though that might lead to some eye-catching stats if he has to.

Connor Bazelak. 5. player. 822. . .

While Mizzou wasn’t able to get a road win over the Kentucky Wildcats, Tigers quarterback Connor Bazelak looked great, outside of an interception that is. Bazelak completed 34-of-51 passes for 294 yards and four touchdowns against UK’s defense. Having that sort of performance in Kroger Field is certainly worth celebrating.

. . Will Rogers. 4. player. 893.

Mississippi State’s Will Rogers has very quietly been having a solid couple of weeks to start the season. The Bulldogs rely heavily upon their quarterback as they live and die with the Air Raid and so far, Rogers has responded well. After two games, Rogers leads the SEC in passing yards (664), completions (72), pass attempts (96) and completion percentage (75 percent). He was crucial in MSU’s comeback against Louisiana Tech to start the season and was able to pick NC State’s defense apart this week.

. . . Stetson Bennett. 3. player. 814

Stetson Bennett came out of nowhere and lit UAB’s offense on fire as the Bulldogs beat the Blazers with ease. Bennett completed 10-of-12 passes for an astonishing 288 yards and five touchdowns. Bennett filled in for the injured JT Daniels who was out with an oblique injury, but isn’t expected to be sidelined for long. If this was a one-game stint for Bennett, he made the most of it.

. . . Matt Corral. 2. player. 841

Was there a better match of quarterback and coach than Matt Corral and Lane Kiffin? The Ole Miss duo is set for success and Corral will be able to score touchdowns with ease in Kiffin’s offense. He did it a season ago and so far he’s doing it again this year. Corral has thrown for 662 yards, just shy of No. 1 in the SEC and six touchdowns (tied for second in the SEC) while completing 66.2 percent of his passes. Corral has also run for a score and 90 rushing yards.

1. player. 829. . . . Bryce Young

There may not be a more talented quarterback in the SEC than Alabama’s Bryce Young who is the early leader in the Heisman Trophy chase. The Crimson Tide’s quarterback has been methodical in tearing Miami and Mercer apart in back-to-back weeks. He’s accurate as a passer, completing 70.8 percent of his passes and he’s thrown for an SEC-leading seven touchdowns through two weeks for the nation’s No. 1 team.
