  • Two-time NCAA national champion Villanova coach Jay Wright
  • Seven-time WNBA All-Star and two-time Olympic gold medalist Yolanda Griffith
  • Seven-time WNBA All-Star and three-time MVP Lauren Jackson
  • Val Ackerman, first president of the WNBA
  • Cotton Fitzsimmons, longtime NBA coach who headed five teams, including eight seasons with the Phoenix Suns
  • Howard Garfinkel – ran the well-known Five-Star Basketball Camp from 1966 to 2008
  • Clarence “Fats” Jenkins — point guard and longtime captain for the New York Rens barnstorming team in the 1920s and 1930s
  • Pearl Moore – all-time career-scoring leader in women’s college basketball. Led the New York Stars to a WBL championship in 1980
