1. Pat Surtain II intercepts Trevor Lawrence

You want bold? Well we’ll give you bold!

The Broncos had the opportunity to select a potential quarterback of the future with the ninth-overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft. Instead, they took arguably the best player on the board in Alabama cornerback Pat Surtain II to further strengthen their secondary. He shined in the preseason, even interrupting a sideline interview with Patrick Peterson with a pick-six in a game against the Minnesota Vikings. But on the very first series of his NFL career, Surtain missed a tackle on Sterling Shepard, who caught a pass from Daniel Jones and ran it in for a 37-yard touchdown.

While that is a welcome to the NFL moment, Surtain is certain to make an impact on the field. He did play in 26-percent of the team’s defensive snaps, per the Broncos website. He is due to make a huge play shortly. Well how about against first-overall pick Trevor Lawrence?

Lawrence did log three touchdowns against the Texans, but threw three total interceptions, logged between Justin Reid, Vernon Hargreaves and Christian Kirksey. Given that the former Clemson Tigers quarterback may force some throws to help put points on the board, it is entirely possible that he could be subject to multiple interceptions against the Broncos defense.

In that case, Surtain is more than capable of picking off Lawrence for his first career interception.
