1. Justin Herbert will throw for 400+ yards

The biggest obstacle standing between the Cowboys and victory on Sunday is the quarterback they’ll be required to contain. Herbert was excellent last week against Washington’s stingy defense. He’ll make mincemeat out of Dallas’ secondary given all the time he’ll have to throw the ball.

The end result will be the sophomore pro topping the 400-yard mark through the air. There’s no doubt about his ability to grind out yards in this game. The key for the Chargers will be making sure Herbert doesn’t give the Cowboys short fields via irresponsible turnovers.

That’s where this game will be won or lost for the Cowboys. They need to pick Herbert off at least two times if they want to position themselves to win this shootout. He will make them look inept at times with his outstanding arm talent.

Next. Sounds like 49ers originally moved up to draft Mac Jones. dark

It’s important to remember that yards don’t equal touchdowns in the NFL. Herbert will have an easy time moving the ball between the 20s, but the Cowboys have a chance to squeeze out a narrow victory if they can make life difficult for him in the red zone. Red zone defense and turnovers will be massive priorities for Dallas on Sunday afternoon.
