1. Philadelphia 76ers

The Ben Simmons departure train has been revving since the Philadelphia 76ers Game 7 loss to the Hawks these last playoffs. And if we’re being honest, that chatter began when the James Harden trade discussions started last year before Houston traded their disgruntled star to Brooklyn.

Simmons reportedly has cut off communication with the 76ers and is looking to play elsewhere next season — Houston could be that new destination and Wall’s next home could be in Philadelphia.

What Simmons provides on the court every night with his defense and size might not be replicable by Wall, the 76ers can benefit from Wall’s playmaking the same way they did from Simmons. Wall knows how to create for his teammate while also knowing when to hunt for his own looks — aggression that Simmons seemed to shy away from at times.

While not a great shooter, 32 percent from downtown in his career (per Basketball-Reference), Wall is a very willing shooter — he averaged over six attempts from 3 last season. This willingness to shoot could prove to be valuable for the 76ers’ floor spacing.

For any of these trades to work, some roster movement will need to take place on every side, and for Houston that might include giving up some picks and/or some of their young talents alongside Wall.
