Kentucky basketball just made sure they have the No. 1 recruiting class for 2022 by adding a commitment from five-star small forward Chris Livingston.

Kentucky basketball is once again swimming in five-star basketball talent.

The Wildcats picked up a third five-star prospect for the class of 2022 when small forward Chris Livingston committed to the program.

The 6-foot-6, 200-pounder out of Virginia ranks No. 6 in the 247Sports composite overall and No. 2 at his position.

Jerry Meyer of 247Sports compared him to OG Anunoby of the Toronto Raptors while praising his “tremendous physical build for a wing.”

Kentucky basketball has the No. 1 recruiting class for 2022.

Livingston is John Calipari’s second Top 10 recruit for 2022. He joins five-star shooting guard Shaedon Sharpe, who is the No. 1 player in the class. In fact, he’s the highest-rated prospect to ever commit to Kentucky and projects as a Top 10 NBA Draft selection. He committed to the Wildcats just over a week ago.

Five-star point guard Skyy Clark rounds out the class as a five-star point guard. Though he ranks No. 17 overall, he’s No. 2 at his position. He’s been on board since October last year.

The three first-round prospects together have Kentucky ahead of North Carolina and Duke for the No. 1 recruiting class in the 247Sports team rankings.

Calipari has compiled three-fifths of a starting lineup with cream of the crop talent. Livingston and the rest of the class will come in with huge expectations.
