Starts

Joe Burrow, CIN, @ CHI

The question marks surrounding Burrow in the preseason were all answered in Week 1. After a devastating injury that ended his rookie season prematurely, Burrow came out looking as though he never missed a step in his first game of the season. Now a matchup presents itself in the Chicago Bears, who were burned on “Sunday Night Football” by Matthew Stafford and company. With the need to throw more often than run against the tough Bears front, expect Burrow to have a starting worthy game that could be even better.

Jameis Winston, NO, @ CAR

Who had Winston throwing for five touchdowns in his first start as the New Orleans Saints quarterback on their bingo card for Week 1? No one? Yeah, we thought so. Winston outperformed Aaron Rodgers and then some in his first game of the season, looking like the first overall selection that was picked by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers all those seasons ago.

Winston, now facing Carolina, should continue to quality play and be another start away from becoming a must-start moving forward.

Ryan Tannehill, TEN, @ SEA

It was not a pretty game for Tannehill and the Tennessee Titans in Week 1. They were destroyed by the Arizona Cardinals, never getting much started on offense despite being one of the teams many expected to shine this year. Thankfully for them, it was only Week 1. Expect Tannehill and company to bounce back in what should be a shootout against the Seattle Seahawks.

Sits

Kirk Cousins, MIN, @ ARI

Cousins did what he often does in Week 1 and deliver a great fantasy start. While many often lean other ways to get their production, Cousins tends to be one of the more consistent guys by the end of the season. That being said, the Cardinals are not messing around this season and should mean trouble for Cousins and company. Sit him down for better options out there.

Trevor Lawrence, JAX, vs. DEN

Lawrence made his first start of his career against the Houston Texans and at times looked really good and at other times looked really bad. Thankfully for him, one week does not define a career. That being said, it is difficult to believe in him for Week 2 against the Denver Broncos.
