5. Ronald Jones Will Make Up For Week 1

You scored more points in fantasy than Ronald Jones did in Week 1. On Thursday night’s opening game against the Cowboys, Jones fumbled early in the game. He ended the night with 12 yards rushing and that fumble which put him in negative points for the week in fantasy.

That devastated many fantasy players across the league. Going negative is such a gut punch. For some reason, a zero feels so much better. Jones is now only 80% rostered as players cut him unceremoniously after his Week 1 performance.

However, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are not giving up on Jones, and neither should you. Bruce Arians said that Jones is still the starting running back for the defending champs. He will get plenty of red zone looks against the Atlanta Falcons, and this is a perfect position to bounce back after a disastrous Week 1.

Jones was the only running back to go in the negative during the first week of the season, but that only means he has plenty of space to go up. Maybe don’t start Jones if you have a better option on the bench, but if you’re forced to put him in the lineup, it might not be as bad a position as you think.
