4. Jared Goff wilts under pressure

There’s a reason why Sean McVay and the Rams gave up on the former No. 1 overall pick in the offseason. Goff’s inability to cope with anything other than perfection in the pocket really limits his effectiveness against quality opposition.

Goff’s weakness should play into Green Bay’s hands. The team’s secondary can really benefit from an improved pass rush in Week 2. Look for the Packers to do a lot of blitzing early to make sure that Goff can’t settle into the game.

Goff does do a good job of getting rid of the ball quickly, so the proof of Green Bay’s pressure may not necessarily come in the form of sacks. Creating double-digit pressures may well be the key for the team’s front-seven.

Fans shouldn’t be fooled by Goff’s production during Detroit’s furious second-half comeback in Week 1. He’s a weak starter at the game’s most important position. The Packers will take advantage of the obvious flaws in his game on Sunday.
