College football picks against the spread for Week 3: No. 5-1

Kent State at 5 Iowa (-23.0) – Under 55.0

It’s a legitimate possibility that we could see this game end something like 31-3 or something in that range, so the under is an obvious play. Iowa has been masterful at controlling the game with their hard-nosed approach on both sides of the ball and Kent State just doesn’t have the physicality to match up with that in any facet.

Stony Brook at 4 Oregon – No Line Available

Oregon is in a letdown spot after beating Ohio State but, thankfully, they get Stony Brook who really doesn’t stand a chance against this one. If the Ducks were able to assert their will in the trenches against the Buckeyes, imagine what they’re going to be able to do in this game.

Nebraska at 3 Oklahoma (-22.5) – Over 62.0

Blindly betting the over in Oklahoma games is a tradition unlike any other. That being said, it makes a ton of sense here as they are sure to push the pace and let the Huskers score but also force them into a number of mistakes. On the flip side, Nebraska has almost no shot of keeping Spencer Rattler and the OU offense in check.

South Carolina at 2 Georgia (-31.5) – Over 47.5

Yes, this is technically an SEC matchup but South Carolina has looked much more Group of 5 than Power 5 to start the season. Georgia, on the other hand, has dominated defensively in both games and showed their offensive firepower when they aren’t facing an elite Clemson defense. The Bulldogs may not allow a touchdown but will still hit the over.
