9. Ronald Jones, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers benched Ronald Jones last week when he fumbled against the Dallas Cowboys. He was the only running back in the entire league who finished the day with negative points. He lost a lot of people a lot of leagues. Most owners are either benching him this week or cutting him entirely.

That’s going to turn out to be a mistake. Jones was named the starter again by head coach Bruce Arians. It’s not like Leonard Fournette or Giovani Bernard did anything to take over the starting role. He fumbled zero times last season. It is unlikely that this is going to happen again, and Jones can once again take his spot as the main guy against the Atlanta Falcons.

8. James White, New England Patriots

Speaking of fumbling, New England Patriots running back Damien Harris fumbled in Week 1 and it cost the Patriots their game with the Miami Dolphins. Earlier in the game, Rhamondre Stevenson fumbled. It wasn’t a good day for new Pats running backs. Now, Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels will have to go to a player they trust.

James White is never going to be an every-down back, but he is the guy they go to in times of need. The Patriots really can’t go 0-2, especially when both losses come against divisional opponents. They really shouldn’t lose against the Jets, but anything is possible. Last season, White scored his only touchdown against the Jets and he had six catches last week. This could be a good upside play on DFS.
