Steelers OL Trai Turner ejected for spitting on Raiders defender (Video)
By Mark Powell
Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman Trai Turner was thrown out of his team’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders for spitting at a random defender.
The Raiders were called for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, meaning Turner was likely egged on. Yet, that does not excuse Turner for spitting on an opponent during a pandemic.
The video makes Turner’s actions pretty obvious.

Yikes.
The Steelers offensive line has been a major problem so far this season. With an aging quarterback in Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh has to rely on a relatively new and inexperienced group to protect their franchise signal-caller.
That hasn’t worked through Week 2, and now the group is facing major questions heading into a divisional test against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Steelers: Trai Turner couldn’t keep his cool in a loss
Turner was signed this offseason as a hopeful veteran presence on this offensive line make up of mostly inexperienced players. So far, that hasn’t quite worked.
The Steelers opted to back Roethlisberger for one last season with the agreement he would take far less money than his previous contract suggested.
While Big Ben is relatively cheap this year, it doesn’t change the fact that he’s far less capable than he was in his prime, and without a capable offensive line in front of him there’s little hope for Pittsburgh to make a deep run.
