During the Manning-cast, Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end hilariously said that he does not need to watch film, thanks to quarterback Tom Brady.

After coming out of retirement last year and wining Super Bowl 55, tight end Rob Gronkowski is having a career resurgence through the first two weeks of the NFL season. But just how does he do it? Well, Gronkowski said one thing he does not do.

While appearing on the Manning Cast with Peyton and Eli Manning, Gronkowski admitted that when he was asked recently by teammate Cameron Brate  if he ever watched film, the tight end said “no.” Not only that, but he responded by saying “I just run by guys.”

As Gronkowski continued, he said he knows that teammate and seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady watches 40 hours of film a week. So, he just asks Brady who is covering him and what the coverages are for the week.

If this is true, the strategy is obviously working.

Gronkowski came out of retirement last year and managed to secure a trade from the New England Patriots to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Through 16 games, Gronkowski caught 45 passes for 623 yards and seven touchdowns. In Super Bowl 55, the tight end hauled in six of seven targets from Brady for 67 yards and two touchdowns in the 31-9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Through the first two games of this season, Gronkowski already has 12 catches for 129 yards and four touchdowns on 13 targets.

Gronkowski being on the Manning Cast was always going to be gold. Sure enough, he delivered on Monday night.
