1. Aaron Jones will log single-digit rushing attempts

Jones led the Packers with 17 carries against Detroit last week, but he only managed to grind out 67 yards on the ground. He was much more impactful in the pass game, but Green Bay needs him to become a more effective rusher to maximize their offensive output.

This isn’t the week where those Green Bay dreams are going to come to fruition. Jones will struggle to get anything going against San Francisco’s talented defensive line. Green Bay might try to force-feed him the ball early but they’ll abandon that plan very quickly.

Just because Jones won’t get double-digit carries on the ground doesn’t mean he won’t be a key cog in Green Bay’s offense on the night. Look for Rodgers to target him frequently in the throw game as a way to keep the 49ers’ secondary off-balance.

As a bonus bold prediction, look for Jones to find a way to amass 100+ yards from scrimmage when you add in what he contributes in the passing game. He’ll still be a weapon for Rodgers, but handing the ball off to him isn’t an effective strategy against the ‘Niners defense.
