Damien Harris will continue his solid start

The Patriots ran the ball well as a team against the Jets, netting 101 yards on the ground. Damien Harris had the highlight of the day on the ground when he broke several tackles and dragged multiple Jets into the end zone.

The Saints were actually able to hold Christian McCaffrey in check on the ground. He only had 72 yards on 24 carries, but was still able to add 65 yards receiving to his credit.

While Harris only had 62 yards on the ground, he’s the clear bell cow in that offense. He’s nimble, but powerful. He’s fast, but also has an undeniable will to get extra yards after contact.

Is Harris as good as McCaffrey? No. Are any of the Patriots backs as good as McCaffrey? No. But the Patriots offensive line is an upgrade over that of the Panthers. They’ll be able to open up holes for Harris to run through, and I’d expect him to be a bit more of a factor in the underneath passing game.

The Patriots have all the tools to be able to succeed against the Saints defense, and the run game will be a big part of that.
