2. Daniel Jones

Jones isn’t the New York quarterback who threw four interceptions last week, but it’s him, not Zack Wilson, that’s on the potential hot seat heading into Week 3. The third-year pro isn’t the reason why his team limps into this weekend’s game against the Falcons at 0-2.

The individual statistics for Jones on the young season are above-average on the surface. He’s completing almost 64% of his passes and he hasn’t thrown a single interception in 69 pass attempts.

The problem is that Jones hasn’t created enough big, scoring plays for his offense through the air. He’s only thrown for two touchdowns on the young season. He’s supplemented that by his above-average scrambling ability, but New York’s offense must become more proficient in the throw game if they want to become a legitimate playoff contender.

Week 3 is too early to pull the plug on Jones, but a loss to the lowly Falcons could make anything possible in the pressure-cooker that is New York City. This is a make-or-break season for the former Duke standout and the Giants could turn to Mike Glennon out of desperation sooner than most fans think.
