1. Pat Surtain II intercepts two Zach Wilson passes

Last week, we wrote the bold prediction that Pat Surtain II would earn his first NFL interception at the expense of Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Lo and behold, that came to fruition!

The interception came in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game on a deep pass from Lawrence to intended target D.J. Chark Jr. As it turns out, Sutton nearly had two interceptions on the day later in that quarter but he tipped it up in the air.

With his first pick in the books, there are many more to come. They could come this week against another rookie quarterback in Zach Wilson. In his first home game as Jets quarterback, Wilson was overaggressive on his pass attempts, and managed to throw four interceptions against New England’s stacked secondary. His matchup against the Broncos will be no easier.

Surtain will log his next two interceptions against Wilson. You can book it.
