10 TE sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 3
By Jakob Ashlin
4. Jared Cook, Los Angeles Chargers
Rostered: 54.7%
This marks my third consecutive week listing Jared Cook as a sleeper. Cook scored his first touchdown of the season last week against the Dallas Cowboys. Unfortunately, it was negated by a penalty.
The Chargers struggled with penalties throughout Sunday’s game. Fellow tight end Donald Parham also had a touchdown reception nullified by a penalty.
Cook has a history of strong performances. Over the first two games, he has been targeted a total of 13 times, and Darren Waller is the only tight end with more red-zone targets. Cook is a breakout tight end waiting to happen.
3. MyCole Pruitt, Tennessee Titans
Rostered: 0.0%
We are officially in deep league territory, now. Anthony Firkser missed last Sunday’s game with a knee injury. In his absence, MyCole Pruitt had three receptions for 43 yards.
Firkser missed Wednesday’s practice, and he is currently listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.
If Firkser does not play, MyCole Pruitt will be a streaming option exclusively in deeper leagues.
