The Patriots hosted the Saints for the first time since 2013 and looked to build on last week’s road win over the Jets. Rookie quarterback Mac Jones had a rough outing, hitting on 30-of-51 throws for 270 yards and one score.

But he also served up three interceptions, one of those returned for a score. The New England defense allowed 142 yards on the ground while New England’s running game managed a disappointing 49 yards on 17 carries.

The Steelers were hoping to rebound from last week’s 26-17 home loss to the Raiders when they hosted the improving Bengals. Mike Tomlin’s club would be missing several key defenders, most notably pass rushers T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith.

Pittsburgh’s offensive line had its issues again and committed its share of penalties. Ben Roethlisberger was sacked four times, picked off twice and the offense struggled on third and fourth down.

Nick Sirianni’s team was impressive in the Week 1 victory at Atlanta and played tough in last Sunday’s home loss to the 49ers. Second-year quarterback Jalen Hurts has looked fairly comfortable over the first two games this year.

Entering Week 3, the Eagles were the only club in the league not to turn over the football. Allowing only 23 points and two offensive touchdowns in two outings is early good news for defensive coordinator Shane Steichen’s unit.
