4. Top fantasy football pickups for Week 4 – Saints WR Marquez Callaway

One of the big fantasy sleepers after the preseason was New Orleans Saints’ wide receiver Marquez Callaway, who shot up draft boards after some strong showings. Quiet performances in the first two weeks of the season probably had Callaway anchored to the bench of your fantasy lineup, which led to a missed opportunity after he caught four passes for 41 yards with a touchdown against the New England Patriots.

The score required a ridiculous effort from Callaway, who had to go up and snag a ball that Jameis Winston threw up for grabs off his back foot. Callaway was targeted five times by Winston, a season-high, as he slowly builds rapport with New Orleans’ new star quarterback.

The Saints really haven’t identified who their top pass-catcher will be while Michael Thomas recovers from offseason surgery yet and this performance from Callaway will give him a chance to stake his claim to that throne. Callaway also has an excellent matchup next week against the New York Giants, who have given up plenty of passing yards on the year.

A return to the Superdome should also energize New Orleans, which could lead to a massive week for Callaway. Rostered in just 37 percent of Yahoo leagues, Callaway can be a solid flex option with matchups against the Giants and Washington in the next two weeks.
