4. A.J. Dillon will get 15+ carries

Aaron Jones is clearly Green Bay’s No. 1 running back but he needs some rest. That, coupled with the high probability that the Packers are going to jump out to an early lead on Sunday makes this a perfect game for Matt LaFleur to feed A.J. Dillon.

The former Boston College standout is going to be counted on to grind the clock out during the second half. There’s a chance he gets 20+ carries, but the bold prediction here is that he gets the ball at least 15 times. He may not put up great efficiency numbers, but a 75+ yard rushing day isn’t out of the question.

15 or more carries would represent a sharp uptick in Dillon’s workload. He only carried the ball six times in last week’s in over San Francisco. The irony here is that he’ll pound the Steelers defense in the same fashion players like Jerome Bettis used to do to Pittsburgh opponents.

Jones is still going to be the man for Green Bay in the backfield for the foreseeable future, but he’s going to get something akin to a day off on Sunday. Dillon is the guy who will carry the load for Green Bay as they try to salt their win away against Pittsburgh.
