4. Vikings vs. Browns predictions: Cleveland has 3+ sacks

Last week against the Chicago Bears, the Cleveland Browns defense completely dominated, limiting the Bears to 47 yards of offense and recording nine sacks. Defensive Player of the Week Myles Garrett had four and a half of those sacks.

This destructive performance was due in part to the Chicago’s poor game plan, but mostly because the Browns are a quality defense, and Garrett is an elite pass rusher. Expect that to be on display again this week against the Vikings.

The Vikings have given up at least one sack in every game they have played. They gave up three in Week 1 to the Bengals. The Browns front is much more impressive than the Bengals. Combine that with the fact that Kirk Cousins isn’t much of a mobile quarterback so he can’t effectively escape.

The Vikings best bet will be to use the run game to slow down the Browns and for Cousins to get the ball out of his hands fast. If they can not do either of those things, the Browns will build off last week’s momentum and have another dominant day.
