5 bold predictions for Browns against Vikings
By John Buhler
2. Odell Beckham Jr. will once again lead the Browns in receiving yards
In his first game of the season for the Browns, Odell Beckham Jr. stepped up big time in the receiving game. With his best friend and college teammate Jarvis Landry sidelined with an injury, Beckham led the Browns with 77 yards in his first five receptions of the season. It was one of those games where Mayfield completely trusted his No. 1 receiver, and that will likely continue.
Will Beckham approach 100 yards in Week 4 vs. the Vikings secondary? Potentially, but look for him to lead the Browns in receiving yards for a second straight game. While Kareem Hunt was only right behind him with his six catches for 74 yards, we all know that there is higher variance when it comes to catching passes out of the backfield than with a guy who plays wide receiver.
Beckham may have only had a long of 26 yards vs. the Bears defense, but he was targeted nine times and averaged 15.4 yards per reception. If he gets around seven receptions, he should push for 100 yards through the air. All the while, Beckham will remain a vibrant part of the Browns passing game, as he will be a big reason why the Browns will almost certainly get to 3-1 here.
Look for Beckham to build on his great Week 3 performance with another great showing Sunday.
