5 bold predictions for Browns against Vikings
By John Buhler
1. Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt will combine for over 200 all-purpose yards again
Last week saw the Browns’ dynamic running back tandem of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt go for over a combined 200 all-purpose yards. While Hunt did the bulk of the heavy lifting with 158 himself (81 rushing, 74 receiving), Chubb still had a game-high 84 yards on the ground. They combined to hit 239 yards between the two of them, and look for them to do that again in Week 4.
Because Chubb is nowhere near the receiver out of the backfield as Hunt, the bulk of his yards will have to come by way of the ground game. If he breaks 100 on the afternoon, then that really takes the pressure of Hunt to match his all-purpose yards total. Though Hunt is not likely to have 74 receiving yards again, he is definitely capable of getting the Browns around 130 all-purpose yards.
Once again, this will be key in the Browns’ quest for victory. Mayfield may throw for over 300 yards, but it will be the combination of Chubb and Hunt out of the backfield that should propel Cleveland to victory. Last week saw Hunt be the most explosive playmaker for the Browns. Perhaps Chubb will be the primary reason the Browns move to 3-1 on the year over the Vikings?
Unless Cleveland has issues holding onto the football, the Browns should win big in Minneapolis.
