4. Clyde Edwards-Helaire will go off

Clyde Edwards-Helaire needs to get his ball security issues under wraps before they overshadow everything else he does this season. Against the Eagles, he’ll have a great opportunity to put those behind him and really strut his stuff.

Why? Philadelphia’s rush defense is awful at the moment.

The Eagles gave up 160 rushing yards to the Cowboys on Monday night. Meanwhile, Edwards-Helaire is coming off his best rushing performance of the season with 100 yards on 17 attempts against the Chargers.

The Chiefs have every incentive to challenge a weakness on the defense in front of them by giving their lead back the rock. It’ll take pressure off Patrick Mahomes and the passing attack if they force the Eagles to pay attention to the ground attack.

Skepticism over Edwards-Helaire as a long-term weapon may be growing in some circles in the Kansas City fandom, but he’ll quiet the doubters with another 100-yard outing this week.
