1.  Nick Sirianni finally lets Miles Sanders run

One of the most glaring omissions from the Monday Night Football match against the Dallas Cowboys was Miles Sanders, the highly-efficient running back that the Eagles have at their disposal in the backfield.

Yet the Eagles only ran the ball three times all game, a first in franchise history.

Against the Cowboys, the Eagles only managed 64 yards on 12 carries. Half of the rushing yards were from Jalen Hurts, who carried 9 times for 35 yards. Sanders nearly caught up to him in yards with just two carries, one of them being for 24 yards.

The reason that the Eagles could lean on the run more this week is because Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni publicly took ownership of it, saying that the team plans on working in more runs.

“Do I want to run the ball more? Absolutely,” Sirianni said in a 94WIP interview Wednesday. “Absolutely. That’s my job to get that fixed. Some of it is situational football, some of it is my play-calling. I gotta get more runs called and that’s just the way the game went the other day and we’re working to fix that.”

While Sanders merits runs for his YPC alone, facing a lackluster Chiefs run defense certainly doesn’t hurt. The Eagles win this one by unleashing Sanders and letting him wreak havoc and score touchdowns.
