10 TE sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 4
By Jakob Ashlin
2. Tyler Conklin, Minnesota Vikings
Rostered: 17.0%
Tyler Conklin is coming off a strong performance against the Seattle Seahawks with seven receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown. That performance may not be an anomaly, either.
Conklin is currently tied for tenth among tight ends in targets in the NFL. In addition, the Minnesota Vikings are throwing the football at a high volume. Kirk Cousins has the eighth-most pass attempts in the league, through three games.
Conklin will certainly have the opportunity to keep producing at a high level. However, his injury status is preventing him from being a better sleeper for Week 4.
He missed Wednesday’s practice due to glute and elbow injuries, and he is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.
If Conklin plays, he is a strong starting option. If not, he is still an intriguing long-term pickup.
1. Maxx Williams, Arizona Cardinals
Rostered: 3.8%
Maxx Williams cooled down after his 94-yard performance against the Vikings. Last week, he had three receptions for 19 yards.
Williams has not been a fantasy factor in the past. However, the Arizona Cardinals are utilizing him at a higher rate than before. This season, Williams has played in 77% of the team’s offensive snaps, which easily exceeds last season’s mark of 29%.
He is worth a flier in deeper leagues.
