College football rankings 2021: Projected Week 6 AP Top 25 after Notre Dame, Oregon lose, Alabama and Georgia dominate
Projected AP Top 25 college football rankings after Week 5: No. 16-15
16. UCLA Bruins
It’s not hard to call UCLA one of the most dangerous offenses in the country. Though often banged-up, quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson is a dynamic threat that can be absolutely deadly when he’s on with his arm. On top of that, Zach Charbonnet and a strong backfield comprise one of the most lethal rushing attacks in the country.
The Pac-12 is within reach for the Bruins, especially with how mortal Oregon has looked over the past couple of weeks. With that said, UCLA does still seem a tad susceptible to prolific passing attacks, which is something to look out for moving on this season.
15. Fresno State Bulldogs
Fresno State survived the game that they should’ve been worried about last week. On the heels of their huge upset over UCLA, the Bulldogs got a bit of a scare from UNLV in a game that shouldn’t have been as close as it was. But quarterback Jake Haener continued to showcase his unreal talent and his gamer’s mentality that led him and his team to another victory.
Sitting with just one loss on the season, Fresno State has proven they can hang with just about any Power 5 team on any given Saturday, largely due to the fact that they have a college football superstar at quarterback. They might not be the best team in the country but they are certainly a team no contender would want to see right now.
