10 D/ST sleepers to target for fantasy football in Week 4
4. Miami Dolphins vs. Indianapolis Colts
The Dolphins wound up allowing 29 offensive points to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4, but with three sacks and a pick-six they meandered their way to 10 fantasy points (Yahoo! scoring). Week 4’s matchup is much better.
Carson Wentz played on two injured ankles in Week 3 against the Titans, and it’s telling that Colts’ head coach Frank Reich said Wentz was the best option even in that state–after taking two sacks and 10 hits while generally looking feeble.
Miami’s defense is better than it’s looked in their last two games. A spot against a banged up quarterback, who hasn’t look good when healthy, is a prime spot for a rebound.
3. New Orleans Saints vs. New York Giants
When waivers cleared this week, the Saints’ defense had a huge ownership spike. Hopefully you’re among those who added them if you had a need.
New Orleans’ defense has delivered at least 15 fantasy points (Yahoo! scoring) and allowed 23 points or less in two of three games this season, with six sacks and six interceptions total over three games. Week 4 against the New York Giants looks good, as Daniel Jones is unlikely to have wide receivers Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton due to hamstring issues. Prize free agent signing Kenny Golladay (hip) is also seemingly operating at less than 100 percent.
The Saints qualified as a solid D/ST add this week, and the matchup still puts them on this list of sleepers.
