Pick Analysis. St. Louis Cardinals. Andrew Miller. 2.. player. Scouting Report. LHP. 33

Speaking of impending free agents, veteran relief pitcher Andrew Miller is set to hit the open market after this season.

Miller joined the Cardinals back in 2018 after his previous contract with the New York Yankees expired when he was with the Cleveland Indians. In his first season (2019) with the Cardinals, Miller recorded a 4.45 ERA and 70 strikeouts over 54.2 innings of work. During the 2020 truncated season, Miller owned a 2.77 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP. 2021 has been a bit of a struggle for Miller.

At the end of April, Miller carried a 8.59 ERA through nine appearances before hitting the injured list with a right toe blister. While Miller did bring his ERA to 3.81 on Aug. 12, it has since increased to 4.75 by the end of the year.
