DraftKings NFL 2021: Best lineup for Week 5
Tight End: Dalton Schultz ($4,400) vs. New York Giants
Dalton Schultz has appeared to seize TE1 duties in Dallas after splitting time with Blake Jarwin. He’s caught 20-of-23 targets for 201 yards and three touchdowns. He’s become a favorite target of Dak Prescott and he’s even earned manufactured touches and plays.
While he doesn’t have the ceiling of a Travis Kelce or Darren Waller, he’s an excellent play against a New York Giants’ defense that’s 20th in the league in passing defense.
Flex: Leonard Fournette ($5,200) vs. Miami Dolphins
Leonard Fournette has completely taken over the backfield in Tampa, playing 58.4% of snaps for the Bucs to Ronald Jones’ 20.4%. With Gio Bernard injured, he’s secured more passing game work as well.
Starting running backs are hard to come by in fantasy football, and securing Fournette at $5,200 is a steal, especially against a 27th-ranked Miami rushing defense. The Chubb-Robinson-Fournette running back group is hard to beat this week.
Defense/Special Teams: Las Vegas Raiders ($2,900) vs. Chicago Bears
Picking the higher-end players I did required me to spend a little less on defense, so I picked one that I thought could exploit the weaknesses of the opposing offense. The Bears offense has not been good, aside from last week against Detroit — but anyone can play good against that team.
Whether Andy Dalton or Justin Fields starts, the Raiders have been stingy to opposing offenses which has allowed them to race out to a 3-1 start. The Raiders could give the Bears fits this week and is a sneaky defensive play.
