Jakobi Meyers gets his first touchdown this year

There’s no question who Jones’ favorite target has been through four games. Meyers leads the Patriots in targets, receptions, and yards but is still without a touchdown. The third year receiver also has four receptions of more than 20 yards.

The Texans struggle with getting guys to the ground at first contact. They are second in the NFL in missed tackles with 32. When Meyers gets the ball, more often than not it will be on a short to intermediate route. While he won’t catch a ton of deep passes, he won’t need a bomb down the sideline to get the job done.

The Texans are bad at tackling in the open field. Meyers will continue getting targets and getting the ball in his hands. If he gets a good number of catches, especially inside the red zone, all it takes is making a man or two miss to get in the end zone.

Meyers is the best receiver on the Patriots roster. Jones will keep looking his way as he as all season. Expect his reception total to be high, along with a trip to the end zone this Sunday in Houston.
