Expect a low-scoring game

This is a game that features two of the lowest scoring offenses in football. The Steelers are averaging just under 17 points per contest, while Denver sits right around 21 points per game.

The Steelers struggles offensively are well documented. The passing game has been atrocious. Ben Roethlisberger looks progressively worse as the season goes on, and he continues to not test the middle of the field.

The 18-year veteran missed on two potential touchdowns to JuJu Smith-Schuster against Green Bay. On each pass, Smith-Schuster had separation and would have walked into the end zone. This isn’t a new problem, as Ben has missed on potential touchdowns to Chase Claypool and James Washington in Week 3, as well.

Both teams also field very good defenses, as well. The Broncos have allowed the second fewest points in the NFL. The Steelers have been inconsistent at times, but have looked solid when completely healthy. T.J. Watt and the rest of the Steelers pass rush will be unleashed against a depleted Broncos offense. The fact that Denver is missing several key receivers, along with the potential of starting Lock, means that you should bet the under in this game.
