1. Buffalo will keep Kansas City below .500

It was good to get a bounceback victory last weekend, but the problems with the Chiefs’ defense haven’t been cleared up and they’re about to face one of the best offenses they’ll take on all season. Josh Allen and the Bills are on an absolute roll. It’s probably the worst possible time to face them.

Home field advantage will be in play, giving Kansas City a boost in a tight battle. Unfortunately for the faithful at Arrowhead, it won’t be enough. Homefield didn’t matter against the Chargers and it won’t matter this week either.

This is the game when the defensive woes will come to a head. There isn’t much Patrick Mahomes and the offense will be able to do about it, short of putting up 40 points. They may be capable of that on their day. It’s just too much to ask at the moment.

The Bills will get their revenge for their AFC Championship disappointment with a 36-34 victory over the Chiefs this time around.

It’s not the end of the world for Kansas City. The timing is just bad.
