College football expert picks Week 6: Picks against the spread for every Top 25 game
College football expert picks for Week 6: No. 5-1
Temple (+29.0) at 5 Cincinnati – Under 54.0
There isn’t a whole lot that Temple has done this season that makes me feel good about their chances of upsetting Cincinnati or anything. However, this is a massive letdown spot for the Bearcats after knocking off Notre Dame last week. They should win with dominant defense but I see this being low-scoring to a very severe degree, which is why the under is the play and -29.0 is too many dang points.
4 Penn State (+1.0) at 3 Iowa – Under 41.0
Under. Smash it and feel confident. As for the spread itself, these two teams are rightfully being presented as an even matchup. Penn State and Iowa are very much similar in that their defenses are the biggest strengths in this game while the offenses have plenty of flaws. For me, though, I have more faith in Sean Clifford and the Nittany Lions when they have the ball. They have to avoid turnovers, which I believe he can. And if that happens. Penn State can pick up another huge win.
1 Alabama (-18.0) at Texas A&M – Under 51.5
If Texas A&M scores in this game, I would consider that a win for them. The Aggies offense looks downright bad with Zach Calzada at quarterback, even with a slew of talented skill position players. Alabama can dictate their will on the defensive front and also when they’re on offense. I suspect we might see another heavy dose of Brian Robinson in another dominant effort for the Crimson Tide.
