Broncos rush defense rebounds after rough two weeks

Going back to Denver’s defensive line, they have another favorable matchup in Week 6, and that is against their rushing attack.

Despite Denver’s rush defense ranking among the best in the league (85.4 yards allowed per game), they have struggled in the past two contests. They allowed over 100 rushing yards for the first time this season back in Week 4, as they allowed 102 yards on 30 carries against the Baltimore Ravens. Then, this past weekend, the Broncos surrendered 147 rushing yards on 35 attempts to the Pittsburgh Steelers. 122 of those yards came against rookie Najee Harris.

The Broncos have the chance to bounce back in defending the run, as the Raiders rushing attack is virtually ineffective due to their offensive line. Las Vegas has averaged 78.6 rushing yards per game (fourth-fewest in NFL) and 3.2 yards per carry (second-worst in league).

Denver should easily be able to hold Josh Jacobs and the entire running back depth chart to under 100 yards on Sunday.
