8. Ian Thomas, Carolina Panthers

Rostered: 0.1%

Following the Dan Arnold trade, the Panthers had a vacancy in their starting lineup at tight end. Rookie Tommy Tremble was expected to benefit the most from Arnold’s departure, but veteran Ian Thomas has actually seen the biggest uptick in production.

Last Sunday, Thomas had four receptions for 40 yards on five targets. Thomas does not have a receiving touchdown through the first five games. However, he actually has received more red zone targets than Tremble.

Thomas is a solid option in deeper leagues. He should continue to receive targets in Carolina’s offense, and he has the potential to have a breakout fantasy performance.

7. Tyler Conklin, Minnesota Vikings

Rostered: 19.2%

Tyler Conklin had a quiet game against the Detroit Lions with two receptions for 25 yards, but do not let that game deter you. Conklin is 12th among tight ends in targets.

With a significant role in Minnesota’s offense, Conklin will have upside every week. He had seven receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown in Week 3.

Kirk Cousins could look to Conklin more this Sunday against the Panthers’ defense, which has allowed the second-fewest receptions to wide receivers this season.

He is a solid streaming option in most leagues.
