Projected AP Top 25 college football rankings after Week 7: No. 12-11

12. Ole Miss Rebels

After surviving the thriller against Arkansas, Ole Miss came back with an impressive win over Tennessee on the road. The Rebels have seemingly responded to their letdown loss against Alabama and look primed to make a run the rest of the way as they chase down a top-10 spot in the rankings.

Some interesting games are on tap for the Rebels. Up next is LSU, which seemingly came back from the dead to upset Florida. After that is a battle against Auburn. It will be interesting to see if the high Octane Rebels can keep it rolling into a top-10 spot soon.

11. Oklahoma State Cowboys

Oklahoma State really wanted people to tweet “Texas is back” this weekend. After the Cowboys rallied in the fourth quarter with 16 points in the 32-24 win, they kept their perfect record intact on the season and sit alongside rival Oklahoma as both undefeated in the state.

The big hope would be that Oklahoma State can remain undefeated until bedlam in Stillwater against the Sooners in late November. The Big 12 could probably use two programs pushing their way into a top-five position or around it at that point as well.
