2. Case Keenum will grind out a gutsy performance in his Broncos revenge game

In a game where the team is badly beaten up and is riding a tough, two-game losing streak, this is when Case Keenum goes out there and proves all of his doubters wrong. What better opportunity to do this than on a big stage like Thursday Night Football vs. a team you used to play for? He may not have been the answer under center in Denver, but who has been that in recent years for them?

Keenum will have to play relatively mistake-free football to beat Denver, as he is not going to have the rushing attack to lean on like the Browns will in most games. Will he have to make a few great throws to get the best of the Broncos’ stellar defense? Absolutely, but this game is all about not beating oneself, staying the course and winning the field-position battle. So can Keenum do this?

As far as an overall stat line, Keenum will complete roughly 60 percent of his passes for under 250 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. He might have a fumble at an inopportune time for the Broncos defense to take advantage of, but Keenum will do more good than bad in a game that calls for it. This is a game where he truly asserts himself as one of the best backups in the league.

With the Broncos’ season on the verge of collapsing before our very eyes, Keenum must play big.
