Tight End

Zach Ertz, Arizona Cardinals vs. Houston Texans-$5,300

Ertz had a last hurrah with the Eagles in Week 6 (four catches and a touchdown) before being traded to the Cardinals the next day. He’ll make his Arizona debut in Week 7, with a big role and a great matchup awaiting him.

Over three full games prior to his season-ending knee injury in Week 6, Maxx Williams had 15 targets with over 60 yards in two of those games. It has been against Kliff Kingsbury’s grain to feature the tight end, but the acquisition of Ertz did not come without a plan to use him.

In Week 7 the Cardinals will face the Houston Texans, who have allowed the second-most fantasy points to tight ends through Week 6 (0.5-point PPR). They are bottom-10 (as in most generous) against tight ends across the board.

Ertz should hit the ground running with the Cardinals, with some time to learn a new playbook and new teammates. Even if he plays somewhat limited snaps, his route involvement is sure to be high.
