17. Mekhi Becton

The Jets are still in the midst of a painful rebuild, but that doesn’t mean their squad is devoid of young talent. Becton is one young player on the New York roster who should provide excellent value for the franchise for years to come.

One look at Becton makes it obvious that he can use his massive size to be a mauler in the run game. He’s not just a brute at the left tackle position though. He’s got eye-catching quickness for a man of his size.

Becton simply needs to improve his technique and consistency if he wants to become one of the best blindside protectors in the game. He has all the physical tools required to be Zack Wilson’s best friend for years to come.

Becton isn’t going to get the notoriety he deserves until the Jets become a winning team, but he’s already well on his way to becoming one of the most dominant tackles in the game. Elite left tackles are worth their weight in gold and Becton is worth a fortune for New York.
